Apart from the Liechtenstein royal couple there were other royals present as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/gpdhome.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d159788b970c-pi\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Liechtenstein\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d159788b970c img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/gpdhome.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d159788b970c-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Liechtenstein\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and the King and the Queen of the Belgians, Philip and Mathilde, travelled to the tiny Principality, sandwiched between the river Rhine, Switzerland and Austria. The presidents of Liechtenstein&#39;s neighbors and Germany&#39;s President Joachim Gauck also attended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Prince Alois welcomed his royal and presidential guest to Vaduz Castle, high above the tiny capital of his country. Alois has been overseeing the daily administration of Liechtenstein since 2004, when his father Prince (<em>F\u00fcrst<\/em>) Hans Adam went into semi-retirement, although he remained head of state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/gpdhome.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d1597b5f970c-pi\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Roland Korner-Close Up AG_4719\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d1597b5f970c img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/gpdhome.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c648253ef01b8d1597b5f970c-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Roland Korner-Close Up AG_4719\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">The meeting had the European migration and refugee crises as one of its main topics, along with digitization and the labor market. Tthere was also an excursion to the Liechtenstein Art Museum, and a meeting with Liechtenstein politicians.
